How can you and your child make a significant impact on society?
One of the goals of a Montessori classroom is to assist the child in learning about their place in the world.
How does one’s presence in the world improve the life of another? The following are some examples of
how you as a parent can help your child lead a meaningful life.
v Volunteer your time.
v Lead by example.
v Determine which activities are meaningful in your life.
v Involve your child early on in meaningful activities.
v Read stories to your child about real heroes and heroines. Some great people that have made a
difference: Maria Montessori, Harriet Stowe, Martin Luther King, Jr., Mother Theresa, Johnny
Appleseed, Rosa Parks, Dalai Lama.
v Strive to be your best and help your child be their best.
