Hello Faith North Community,
Welcome back! The campus has been buzzing with activity as staff returns and begins preparing the environments for the children and engaging learning. I love this time of year. The joy and anticipation of coming together and creating the very best “learning school” that we can for our children and ourselves is invigorating and reaffirms our passion!
I am proud to announce that Faith North once again earned the “Performing Plus” label. This label is determined by how our children perform on the AIMS tests. Overall, we can celebrate our scores. Last year new math standards were implemented and the state saw a decline in math test scores. Our staff will be working to look at areas where our children did well and where there were challenges. I will address our scores at our first Site Council that will be held on Wednesday, August 11th at 5:00 at FNM@Shaw in the Media Center. This meeting will be followed by our PTA meeting in the cafeteria at 6:00.
Some other very important dates to remember are:
Back to School Night at FN Main is Thursday, July 29 and FNM@Shaw Monday, August 2nd. Both begin at 5:45.
Friday August 20th we will hold our annual SALAD SPECTACULAR, a community get together in the multi-use room at North beginning at 6:00. Please bring a salad and join us as we welcome new families to our school.
